Family Visitors

My Uncle and Aunt were able to stop by and see us for a couple of days in December. We were able to have lots of fun with them and it was so fun to see my boys come to know one of my favorite Uncles better.

We took them to see the gingerbread house contest in downtown Seattle. They were amazing. We went and got treats at Pikes Market.
We went for a ride on the Monorail.

We also went and played at the beach.

We had so much fun with them. Can't wait until they stop by again!

Christmas Tree Hunt

We went to a U cut Christmas tree farm to find our tree again this year. They even had a cool little train that you could ride after. We all had fun and found the perfect tree.

Great Wolf Lodge

The weekend before Thanksgiving we went and played at Great Wolf Lodge. We all had a great time! It was so nice to swim in their nice warm indoor water park while it was rainy cold outside. One of the boys favorite things was the wave pool.

Camdin loved crossing the lily pads, and was actually very good.

We let Camdin and Colton pick out a dessert the night we were there and they chose these huge suckers. Talk about messy.

While shopping at the mall we saw this cool jumping trampoline bungee cord thing. Camdin and Colton had to try it out. We made them earn the privilege by doing chores and being good all week. We then went back and gave it a try. They loved it!

Halloween

For Halloween the boys were knights in shining armor. I made there shirts with shinny fabric to look like protective metal shirts. They both did not like them much because they were so itchy. We were able to do lots of fun things for Halloween. We had a playgroup party, a Church carnival, a school party, and we also went trick er treating. It was so fun!

Maris Farms 2011

We had a great time at Maris Farms again this year. It is our favorite place to go and find a pumpkin. The weather was not great this year but it didn't stop us from having tons of fun.

First Field Trip

For Camdin's first school field trip we went to to the fire station. We all had fun and learned lots about fire danger and what to do.

First Day of Preschool

Camdin was so excited to start school this year. He is going to Edgewood Christian again and loves it. He knows several kids in his class and has made so many new friends. He is also doing so much better this year and I feel really good about our decision to have another year of preschool.

A friend and I are trading off with our younger boys so Colton gets to have "school" too.

We went as a family to the Puyallup fair this year. We were only there a couple of hours but were able to squeeze in everything we wanted to do. The boys rode rides, we visited the animals, checked out some of the crafts, and ate lots of fair food.

I love this picture. We were 5 minutes from home and we were all so happy!

All in all the boys did great driving. We did not do the through the night thing (we are getting too old). So both of the boys were awake for most of the 14 hour drive. They watched tons of movies, we had dance contests (hard to do in your seat belt), read books, played games, colored, and ate junk food. I still don't even want to talk about driving to Utah again but all things considered it went well.
Colton did not do much of this, but he sure is cute when he does:).
So ready to be home!

Bear Lake Cabin with the Conk Side

After our fun week in Utah we got to head back up to Bear Lake to play with Dustin's family. We went four wheeling, hiking, shooting, and had a great time.

Dustin's brother caught crayfish that we had for dinner one nights. It took some convincing but they talked the boys into picking them up.

Grandma planned a little birthday carnival to celebrate all the kids birthdays. They all got to play games and get prizes. This one is toss the water balloon.

Downtown Salt Lake

We were able to spend an afternoon downtown in Salt Lake. We rode tracks in and the boys thought that was just the coolest thing. We then went to temple square and checked out the new visitors centers (if you haven't gone in awhile they are amazing). After all of that walking around the boys were hot and tiered so we went to Gateway Mall and the boys had fun in the fountain while I window shopped. It was a great day.

Camdin's 5th Birthday

Camdin started off the day with a Birthday doughnut!
We then went to Thanksgiving Point and had a great time. As tradition Camdin got to pick where to eat for dinner. He chose Red Robin.

Here in Washington you get a little Sunday when it is your Birthday, apparently in Utah you get a huge slice of Mud Pie! The next time we are there for a Birthday again we are going back:).

Both of the boys got remote control cars (makes less fighting if they both get one).

Grandma and Paka got Camdin a razor scooter.

We did have Camdin blow out candles that night but is was so late I wouldn't let him have any:).

Camdin had a great day and we all had fun. Happy Birthday Camdin! I still can't believe I have a 5 year old.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens

After we were done at the dinosaur museum we then headed over to the gardens. It was a hot beautiful day, way too hot to walk so we rented a golf cart and covered almost all of the gardens. We were able to get some beautiful pictures, so enjoy!

Dustin's Aunt had the whole family over for a pool party. We had so much fun! Her pool has everything a kiddie wading pool, a water slide, a jumping rock, and hot tub. Our kids did not want to leave. Thanks Dessie for letting us come and play.

Dustin's parents let us use there cabin so my siblings and their kids could get together. It was a great weekend! We went four wheeling, to the beach, swimming, jet skiing, and played non stop. Above is our crazy crew of kids. They all got along so well.

Grandpa Leo

This summer Dustin's Grandpa Conk died. It was sudden and took our family by surprise. We had a trip to Utah planned so we left over a week early so we could attend the funeral and be with family. The day of the funeral was a beautiful day and I am so grateful we were there to see it, and say our goodbyes. We know that Grandpa Leo is in a better place, with loved ones and that we will be able to see him again one day. I am so grateful for that knowledge and the peace it brings.

Zoo

We have definitely gotten our monies worth out of our zoo pass this summer. Every time we go we have a favorite animal, and we get to see different animals eating and playing.

Here is Colton Adam Camdin and Blake (Camdin is totally on his tipey toes Blake is so much taller then him).

The shark tank has been one of our favorite spots.

Point Defiance Zoo has an amazing play area. We cant go to the zoo and not go (I have tried:)).

Mt Saint Helens Camping Trip

We went camping up toward Mt Saint Helens and found an area that we love. It has great trails, fun lakes, and is not very crowded. We have plans to go again before the weather gets bad.

The weather and the scenery was perfect.

We found this really fun waterfall that we got to ride through.

A neighbor gave us tickets to a Rainier's baseball game. We went to the game on a beautiful day had a great seats and got lots of free food. We had a great time!

Mowich Lake

A couple weekends ago we went to Rainer to hike and check out future camping spots. Along the way we stopped at this old bridge and got out and explored and took a couple pictures. We then headed up to Mowich lake and were surprised to find 3 feet of snow in some places. We had fun hiking around the lake and playing in the water. It is a beautiful lake!

Camping with Cousins

Me and the boys went camping with my sister and her kids during the week last week while Dustin was at work. We meet up half way between us in Coeur d'alene Idaho. We stayed for three nights and had so much fun. We swam, hiked, biked, ate, and played the whole time. It was so nice to get our kids together they all get along so well. We realized that while we were there between the two of us he had every age of child from 6-2!

Work BBQ

We went to a Union BBQ for Dustin's work and had a blast. It was a beautiful day and they had so much fun activities planned for families. There was a blow up slide, bouncy house, sprinkler, races, shaved ice, and tattoos.

Bald Boys

The day after I gave my boys cute hair cuts (one of the best I have ever done) Camdin took it upon himself to "fix" it. He went into my sewing room and got my sewing scissors and gave him and his brother hair cuts. Colton came down stairs very proudly and told me "Look what Camdin did". I was not happy! Dustin then had to shave the kids heads with the clippers on the lowest setting. Both of the boys were in tears after and promised never to do it again.

A Quick Hello

My parents were able to stop by Seattle on their way home from attending a wedding. It was so nice to see them and play. We were able to go on a bike ride, shopping, the jump zone, and they were able to see Camdin and Colton's swimming lessons.

My boys love to play with Grandma. I think they were "tickling" each other with grass:).

Mini Van Heaven

That is right we now own our very own mini van! I said I would never have one when I was younger but right now in my life I cant think of anything I would rather drive (within our budget). After driving Dustin's huge monster of a truck for two years and hating parking the thing, and getting the kids in and out, I now get to have automatic sliding doors that close with the touch of a button and I can fit easily in to parking spaces and my kids can get in and out all by them selves. It is Awesome!!

Swimming Lessons

We just got done with a two week season of swimming lessons. I am always so impressed with how much my kids learn going to lessons. Camdin and Colton both passed two levels and now are on level 3. Camdin can now go in the "deep end" with out freaking out and Colton is an amazing glider. Way to go boys, I am so proud of you!

4th of July

We started out our 4th of July bribing the kids to do yard work by telling them we could get out the water slide. After hours of work the yard was decent and we let the kids play and ended it with a huge family water fight (we got Dustin really good!).

We then went to City Blast in Puyallup where the kids got their faces painted, went down more slides, watched a concert, and saw an amazing fireworks show.

Looks like Camdin was winning this race.

Camdin wanted a Batman face. It turned out pretty cute.

Colton got a red "firework".

We had to wait awhile for the sun to go down before the fireworks. There was a fun concert. Camdin had fun singing along to most of the songs.

Happy 4th of July!!

We saw an amazing 20 minute firework show that had great fireworks, some that I had never seen before.

Camping Part 2

After two nights up near Leavenworth we moved more south to a place it was OK to ride four wheelers and shoot guns. We stayed another night and played more enjoyed our toys:)

Camping Trip

We went camping on the weekend before the Fourth of July. We went up toward Leavenworth hoping to get some warm weather, and it worked! We camped there for two nights and played and ate and swam. It was great!

Our RV park had a pool! The weather was great and we all loved the pool.

Our boys are little fish that just love the water.

Camdin got really good with his kick board and could go across the pool with it all by himself.

On Two Wheels!

This last Tuesday Camdin learned to ride his bike with no training wheels! He caught on so fast! Within one hour he was riding in circles around our culd a sac. We tried last year and he wasn't quite ready. This time around he was very determined and always got up quickly and wanted to try again. Way to Go Camdin we are so proud of you! Taking off the training wheels

Baseball Game

Last weekend we went to our first baseball game of the season, for Blake's Birthday. We had so much fun.

Teeny Tiny Visitors

Last week I got an unexpected email from my cousin saying she would be in Seattle for a few days and wanted to stop by. We don't get many visitors so we were excited. We were even happier to hear that she would have her two new babies with her. Asher and Oliver were only two weeks old and they were so tiny. As you all know my boys came out big (10lbs 4oz, and 9lbs) so to hold babies that were only 5lbs was different. Camdin and Colton loved holding the babies they loved giving them bottles and talking to them. While they were holding them they would get so quiet and serious. It was so fun to watch!

Unsuccessful Camping Trip

A couple weeks ago we tried to go camping up at Evans Creek. Little did we know they still had three feet of snow in their camp ground. It was not even 50 degrees up there so we were cold. We ended up staying one night in the staging area (a huge mud pit), then came home the next day. We did have some fun four wheeling in the mud and snow. Next time we need to check conditions before packing up:)

The Perfect End To A Hard Day

Last week the boys and I had a hard day. It seemed like everything I had planned to get done was not working and we were all getting frustrated, so half way through we gave up went home the got out the slip and slide and watermelon and had fun. This was our first time getting it out this year and boy did my boys love it!

Schools Out!!

Camdin is out of school for the summer. Yea!! He had a great year this year. He made great friends, learned his letters, can write his name, and most importantly had fun and can't wait to go back next year.

Ape Caves

Over Memorial weekend we went hiking with some friends at Ape Caves. It was a very hard hike through long tunnels made in lava beds. For two hours and forty five minutes we crawled through dark tunnels, up falls, over boulders, bumping unto rocks and each other. We had fun but if I could do it again I would wait until the boys were older and could be more independent.

Grandma and Grandpa Time

While Dustin and I were in Mexico the boys stayed here in Washington with my parents. They had so much fun. Everyday they got to do something fun. They went to parks, the jump zone, the beach, and chucky cheese. They even got to have a "Yes Day". If you haven't read the book you should check it out it is pretty cute. Everything the boys asked for they got (with in reason). I know they had hot dogs for breakfast, pizza for lunch, and crab for dinner. Those lucky boys!

Mexico

Dustin and I and some friends went on a no kids vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was so fun! It was 5 nights of no kids and fun in the sun. My parents flew down from Alaska to watch the boys. Thanks again mom and dad! Although I think they had just as much fun as we did (more about that to come).
Suzanne and I, we all had fun hanging out without our kiddos.

Several nights we got to eat dinner out on the patio and watch the sunset.

Zip Line

Here is Dustin and I about half way through the coarse. I was finally starting to relax and have fun.

So this was my first zine line. As you can see I was scared:) So how it worked was there was a guide at the top and at the bottom. The guide at the bottom was supposed to give me the brake sign and then I was to push down on the rope with my right hand. Well I rarely got the brake sign so I always came in going super fast. So that is why my face looks the way it does:)

Dustin has done zip lines before so he was more clam and looks like he is having fun:)

Puerto Vallarta Adventures

One of the main reasons we chose Puerto Vallarta for our vacation was because Dustin wanted to go on the zip line coarse there. Unfortunately on the morning of Suzanne was sick so Dustin and I went alone. I am still bummed that our friends didn't get to go because it was so much fun! We started out the day on a 30 min boat trip where they took us across the bay.

We then got in and rode in these jeeps up a cliff to the zip line area. It was very bumpy and you had to hold on almost the whole time.

We then got all geared up with a helmet, gloves, dust bandanna, and harness. Not the most comfortable gear. Next we jumped on a donkey and had a long ride up another cliff. From there you hike up a short trail to the first zip line.

Zoo

I broke down this year and bought us a family pass to the zoo. We took my mom while she was here and we had a great time. I love how into all of the animals the boys are and all of the crazy questions they have about them:)

Mothers Day!

I had a great Mothers Day this year! My mom was visiting and my hubby went all out for both of us. He got us both flowers, made us breakfast, got the kids ready for church, did the dishes, and made an amazing salmon dinner. Thanks babe, it was the best day! I as so grateful be a mother and love my amazing family.

Mother's Day Tea

Camdin's school had a mother's day tea. It was so sweet he made me a corsage, made me a picture, and sang to us. The teacher also asked him why loves me. He said, "She takes me to the grocery store and sometimes she lets me pick out a toy. She bakes cookies for us and reads me a story at bedtime." Is that sweet or what?! I love you Camdin thanks for a great tea party.

Cinco de Mayo!

For Cinco de Mayo we had a party this year! We made some great Mexican food and then let the kids go crazy on a pinata.

Dustin's Guy Weekend

Dustin went on a fishing trip last weekend and came home with these. Two beautiful Salmon! The largest was 18 lbs and the other 14lbs. Dustin fillet them and they are now in our freezer ready for dinners. Who wants to come over to Salmon!?

Easter Eggs

Dustin was gone the weekend before Easter so the boys and I got to dye eggs together. Last year they got bored quickly with the coloring process so we tried something new tie dieing eggs. It was so simple quick and turned out so cool. All you do is put the eggs in a colander and poor vinegar over them and drop food coloring drops on them color by color. The kids loved it and there was no mess!

The week before Easter we had our annual Playgroup Easter egg hunt. This year the weather was nice so we were able to have it outside in a friends back yard. The kids had a blast and loved all of the candy.

We headed over to our friends house on the week before Easter to make Easter cookies. Sugar cookies are not my favorite to make because of all of the steps. But when you have four little helpers and two adults it goes pretty fast. They ended up being the best sugar cookies ever!
All four of the boys had fun picking out shapes and pressing them into the dough. And we all enjoyed eating them!
We got a little fancy with the frosting. Cute egg huh?

Fishing Field Trip

Camdin's latest field trip for preschool was to Bob's Fishin Hole. It was suggested that this would be a good one for dad to go on. Unfortunately Dustin was unable to go, so me and my boys went fishin:) It was more fun then I expected. Bob did everything with the kids so I was able to stand back watch and take pictures. Here was everyone in front of the baby fish tank. It was actually a cool set up with fish eggs and little water slides for the fish to go on to get to bigger ponds.
All of the kids got to feed the fish. The fish loved that.

Tulip Festival

On our way home from camping we stopped at the Tulip Festival. Since it has been a cold spring this year the tulips were not in full bloom but the daffodils were amazing! I love spring!

There were not may tulips but they sure were pretty.

It was a great afternoon after a great weekend.

Kick Off To Camping Season

Last weekend was one of the nicest weekends (weather wise) so far this spring so we took advantage of it and went camping. We tried a new spot up in Mount Vernon and went four wheeling and played for two nights. It was so nice to be out doors and away from the TV and everything electronic.

The views from on top of the hill were beautiful.

Dustin was working some long hours so the boys and I had fun taking some adventures alone. In early April we took advantage of a dry afternoon and went to the beach. We had fun playing and enjoying the outdoors.

One of our friends just got a trampoline! This was the first time the boys ever went on one. They loved it (of coarse). They jumped and jumped with no fear. I even got in and we played crack the egg. I forgot what a work out a trampoline is:) After that day I know where we will be spending lots of our summer days.

Childrens Museum

We have been having a rainy spring. So the boys and I have been planning special activities to keep the stuck at home blues away. We went to the Children's Museum and the boys had a blast. I love listening to them play and use their imaginations. They made art projects.

It was a fantastic afternoon out of the rain using out imaginations!

Aunt Sharon

Last weekend my Aunt Sharon was in the Seattle area and we were able to get together. We took her to our dirty beach and we all had fun exploring in the sand. We found so many starfish it was amazing (and they were alive:)). We also saw sand dollars, and sea shells. It was so fun to see my Aunt again and show her where we live.

On my way back to the Salt Lake City airport we stopped in Logan to see Keegan and Jessi. Coming out of Idaho Falls I unfortunately got turned around and went 30 minutes in the wrong direction. So we did not get very much time at their house. The kids did have fun playing and stretching their legs before getting back in the car and driving the rest of the way to Salt Lake.

More Cousins

Since we were so close to more family I decided to stay a couple extra days and drive and see my sister and brothers families. I rented a car a drove to Idaho Falls and stayed two nights. We crammed as many activities into those days and had a blast. We went to blast off, bowling, and had a sleep over. I wish we lived closer the boys cousins. I love how close I was to my cousins growing up. Now that the kids are getting older they remember each other and play so well together.

Megan's Wedding

Megan and Tyson got sealed for time and all eternity in the Bountiful Utah temple on a beautiful day. They had a very touching ceremony that brought tears to my eyes and made me so grateful for my eternal family.

Wyoming

Dustin's little sister got married in the first week of February and we were able to fly down and see it. We started off our trip at Dustin's parents house in Evanston. It was nice to have some one on one time with Grandma and Paka. We all had fun playing in the snow, four wheeling, and having fun.

More Cruise!

Every night the guy who cleaned our room would make a towel animal for us. The boys got the biggest kick out it, and the adults got in debates about what kind of animal it was:)

Before dinner sometimes the kids had too much energy so they would go up and run around to burn it off. We have a fast bunch of kids:)

We were able to stay entertained everyday! The boys loved the ping pong, miniature golf, and swimming. There was no time to be board.

On our last "fine dinning" dinner night we went and got a group picture taken. It turned out really good. We have a great looking bunch.

Whale Watching and Snorkeling

On our second day in Cabo we went whale watching and snorkeling. I did not expect much from the whale watching but we saw like 7 different whales and got super close to them. It was amazing. Snorkeling was fun. The kids did not enjoy it but the adults all took turns going down and looking at amazing tropical fish. I wish we had a underwater camera because it was cool.

Dustin got lots of great pics of the whales, here are my favorites. The big splash is of one jumping.

We went to a little cove that we almost had to ourselves. The kids loved running in and out with the waves.

The boys both got geared up for snorkeling but couldn't get the hang of keeping your face in the water and only lasted a few minutes.

Cabo

On our first day in Cabo we went on a glass bottom boat ride. We saw fish, seals, and the beautiful area of Cabo. We also went to a hotel and swam in their pool ate lunch and played in the ocean.

1st Dress Up Night

I had fun getting dressed up for our "fine dinning" nights. The food was amazing and I think my family is so good looking:)

Lobster and Prime rib were our families favorites of the night. Camdin ate his own whole piece of prime rib, and Dustin ate 3 lobster tails!

Day 1 of Cruise

Getting on the cruise ship went very smoothly. We got there early so the lines were fairly small. The kids did great (mostly because of the iPad). Once we got on we sat out and enjoyed some San Diego sunshine while we waited for the rest of our crew to arrive.
The boys did not like the sunshine at first and wanted to go back inside (crazy kids). Mine and Dustin's sun glasses were a quick fix.

That night we enjoyed our first of many dips in the hot tub.

I Want To Go Back

After being home for a week I am ready to go back on the cruise ship. I miss the warm weather, the time with my family, the food, the room cleaning, and the fun things we did. I am still sorting through all of the pictures but so far after looking at these two I want to go back right now!

New Years!!

After spending two wild days at the water park we kept things pretty simple for our New Years celebration. We had a crab feast, set off some fireworks, and went to bed early. It was a great way to ring in the new year. Yeah for 2011!!

We watched the crazy men outside in the cold set off the fireworks while we sat in a nice warm truck with heated seats and hot coco.

Great Wolf Lodge

While we had family visiting we all went to Great Wolf Lodge for two days of water park fun. I was very impressed with how big it was and all of different areas to play in. We did go during Christmas break so the place was packed, but that didn't stop us from having so much fun!
The wave pool was one of the favorites for everyone.
The kids area was a huge hit with jet skis that sprayed water.

Colton loved the jet skies too!

Maylee had fun being passed around and enjoying the 80 degree pool area.

Colton is a dare devil and loved every water slide he tried.

While my brother and his family were here we went down town and checked it out. It was not very warm and Camdin was not 100% yet so we made it a short trip and drove by most everything in the nice warm truck:)

A Terrible End to a Great Vacation

So after going on a terrific 6 night cruise with my family I found myself being taken by stretcher to the medical center and then an ambulance ride to the ER. It was so humiliating! I was holding my niece (9 months old) and sitting down into a low deck chair when my lower back went into spasms. I couldn't move. When I got to the medical center the doctor said I would most likely go get an MRI. Luckily after they pumped me full of drugs they ruled out a herniated discs and I was able to make our flight back to Seattle and have been spending most of my time since being home in bed.

Luckily they guys carrying me in the stretcher were not in has mat suites but you get the idea:)

This was my first and hopefully my last Ambulance ride (not so much fun).

Presents

We all took turns opening up the presents and all of the kids did great about waiting until it was their turn.

Colton was thrilled to wake up at midnight and see that Santa brought the pillow pet he asked for. He also got a dragon and batman cave and many other toys he has loved playing with.

Camdin's first present he was sure it was a Toothless and it was. He got the "big Toothless" that he told Santa about. He also got many other fun toys that he has loved.

The boys got a hot wheels set that is loud and fun, a play dough set, and Grandma Conk sent a Alfie that has been teaching them non-stop.

This year I got to surprise Dustin with gifts (he usually just buys something and says it is his Christmas present). We got him an ipod speakers, and a pair of Keen shoes.

I gave Dustin a list of things I wanted and he did great! I got a panini maker, ipad accessories, and a cricket cartridge.

Grandma and Grandpa got their Calender of pictures of the grand kids that they loved.

Stockings

After we got home and had a chance to shower we finally had our Christmas morning at 11. The fist thing to be opened were the stockings. Camdin had enough energy to open everything but after presents and a call from Orin (my brother on a missions in Cape Verde) we all crashed. It was a memorial Christmas.

Gum was a huge hit in the boys stockings.

Christmas Eve Jammies

It is a tradition of our family that we have the kids open up jammies on Christmas Eve (so they look nice for Christmas morning pictures). As the boys were opening up their jammies both were not feeling very well. Camdin had been having the stomach flu (so I thought) earlier that week but was feeling better earlier that day, now he started throwing up again and getting a high fever. I was not excited because I wanted my kids to have a great Christmas morning and now both were sick. Unfortunately the night kept getting worse. Both wok up at midnight with high fevers and throwing up. So after a warm bath and more medicine I put them both back to bed. Four hours latter Camdin wok us up with moaning of pain. We found him in the fetal position rocking back and fourth in extreme pain with a high fever. We made the decision to take him to the ER where he had an 105.5 rectal temp, low O2 stats. and full blown pneumonia in his lungs. Doctors and nurses both rushed around giving him medicine, an IV, X-rays and doing all sorts of tests. He received three different IV antibiotics and we walked away from the ER with completely different kid then when we got there. My parents brought Colton in also to get checked and his lungs were clear (thank goodness). Camdin is back to normal and we are getting his lungs checked again to make sure they are clear so we can go on our cruise. It was not the Christmas Eve night I had planned but I am so thankful everyone is safe and healthy again.r

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we had a full house. My parents and my brother's family were visiting. We decided to spend Christmas Eve up in Leavenworth. It was the perfect day up there it was pretty warm and it was snowing. We all went on a slay ride through the woods where we sang Christmas songs and enjoyed the scenery. We then had fun exploring Leavenworth and its shops and lots of it's food. It was a great Christmas Eve adventure.

We were petting the horses after and Colton just had to give both of the horses kisses:)

Camdin's 1st Christmas Program

On Tuesday Camdin had his first school Christmas program. He did great! I wish I had a way to post the whole thing up on here but unfortunately it was like 30 min long so it wont let me. Dustin unfortunately couldn't get off work so I taped the whole thing (he was pretty frustrated that they scheduled it on a Tuesday at 10am). Camdin sang so many songs and had 4 different scriptures memorized that he said with his class. I am so proud of you Camdin!

Christmas Cookies

We went and decorated cookies with some friends this last week. It was so nice they had all of the cookies all made and we got to come and play decorating them. The boys ate every cookie that they frosted, probably 3 a piece. Our friends have all older kids and they are just great with our little guys. I think we all had fun! Thanks again for inviting us.

We found our Christmas tree! We went to a you cut Christmas tree lot this year and picked a beautiful tree. As we were leaving it started raining pretty hard but for the most part the weather was nice.

Christmas Party!

We just had our ward Christmas party this weekend. Santa came and so that was a huge deal for both of the boys. Camdin as you can see was very serious while on his lap and got straight down to business of telling Santa what he wanted. This year I know what it is:) He wants a big toothless (the black dragon for the movie How To Train Your Dragon). Colton was also very serious more because he was a little scared of Santa. He did tell Santa that he wanted candy, but I am pretty sure he just wanted a candy cane. We are having tons of fun getting ready for Christmas in our home.

After the party we drove around and looked at Christmas lights. It was fun to listen to the boys ooh and ahh over every house.

Thankful Tree

For the month of November our family made a thankful tree. Every night (almost) each one of us thought of something that we were thankful for and wrote it on a leaf and put it on our tree. Camdin and Colton's answers were funny and precious at the same time. It was a great way to involve the kids in remembering all of many blessings. I hope we can remember to do this every year!

Snow Day

We had a small snow storm here in the north west. Around here that means that school gets canceled and things get crazy. So Camdin Colton and I got to have a snow day because Camdin didn't have school and I did not want to go out around all of the crazy drivers that don't know how to drive in the snow. It ended up being a great relaxing day of laundry, sledding, snowball fights, cooking and crafting. Maybe I should stay home more because it was tons of fun!
The boys had so much fun with their trash bag sled. We will have to see if it is better than the real one that Dustin brought home today:).

Climbing Trees

He Did IT!!!

Dustin did it, he passed his test. For those of you wondering what test it was it was his final test to become an elevator mechanic. For the last four years Dustin has been working as an apprentice and going to school to become an elevator mechanic. At the end of each year he had to take a test over that years material in order to move on to the next year. Well this year being his last he not only took the final covering year four he also took another final cover all of the material over the last four years (That is a lot of stuff). We found out that he passed! It was a hard long test that lasted 3 1/2 hours and he had to use so many math formulas and know all kinds of crazy definitions. He hasn't gotten it back so he doesn't know his percentage yet but he heard from his bosses boss that he passed. What a relief!! It has been a long couple months and years with Dustin studying but now I know it was all worth it.

I am so proud of you Dustin, great job!

Halloween

Unfortunately the boys were not feeling very well on Halloween. They both had runny noses and coughs. But once the trick er treader's started coming to the house they talked me into letting them go around the culd a sac once. They went to 6 houses and made out like bandits.

Halloween Carnival and Trunk er Treat

On Saturday we went to our ward Carnival and Trunk er treat. The boys had lots of fun going around and doing all of the fun activities. Camdin said his favorite thing was the airplane toss and Colton said his was the cupcake (cake walk). They both got spiders painted on their faces and made ghost suckers. They also went through Spook's House of Weird and were scared to death (mostly by their dad). After that they went out and did the trunk er treat.

It was a great night!

Maris Farms

After Dustin took his test on Friday we headed off to celebrate at Maris Farms. This is our second time going and we love it! There is so much to do and see.

There were little tractors every where for the kids to ride.

The corn maze was great. We let the boys pick which way to go and they got the right way each time:)

They have this amazing balloon thing that the kids jump on. We had to drag them off:)

This huge slide was a hit.

Everyone (except me) loved getting buried in the corn.

Preparing For Winter

Last weekend we went up and got firewood. We lucked out because Crystal Ski resort cut down all kids of trees and piled them up for people to come and get. So we spent the day liming, cutting up wood, and loading it into a huge trailer. Dustin and I are very sore! Hopefully it will all be worth it and we will stay toasty warm this winter.

P.S. I have to say that I am a very good tree limber with a chainsaw:)

We got both of the boys little toy chainsaws last year. Colton loved to try and cut everything up. Camdin preferred to sit in the truck and watch movies.

1st Field Trip

Last week was Camdin's Preschools first field trip. His class went to the fire station. It was great because they invite siblings to come along too. So Colton was in heaven getting to go to school too.

Getting Bigger

It is crazy the things these two boys do. They love to climb (anything and everything). This park near out house is great for them because there are several different ways to climb up to the top. They are both doing more and more things that make me nervous:).

Blue Lake

We took another four wheeling trip up to Blue Lake to see if we could make it to the top (the first try we ran into 2 ft of snow). Well this trip was beautiful. It was warm and we made it to beautiful blue lake, we had the lake to ourselves and played and ate snacks for almost an hour.

Primary Program

Last Sunday was Camdin's first time getting to participate in the primary program. He was given a short part that he memorized so well. He got up to the stage and only needed prompting once in the middle. He also sang beautify. He new words to songs that I don't:) We are so proud of you Camdin!

Since none of our families were able to make it I thought I would post a reenactment of it so everyone could enjoy it!
