Rock Hunting and the Hot Pots

After rock hunting we went for a quick dip in the "hot pots". It is a natural hot springs that runs into the river. People have placed rocks to catch the hot water to create a fun little hot pool. That day the hot water mixed with the cold river water and created the perfect temperature water for the kids to play in. The next time we went we were not as lucky.

The next day we went rock hunting up in what seemed like a desert. It was pretty hot but that didn't stop our kids from climbing up a cliff to find geodes. We ended up finding pretty cool rocks and had some inexpensive fun.

Day 2 and 3

On our third day we went on a long four wheeler ride (5 hours). We drove up to an old mining camp, it had some amazing views. So we had ourselves a mini photo shoot. It was so amazing. The boys had fun and enjoyed riding threw huge puddles, splashing in creeks and getting really dirty.

Our second day was spent at a arts festival in Stanley. There was fun music and cool hand made things. It gave Dustin and I both ideas for future projects. It was a beautiful hot day so of coarse we all got ice cream.

Day One at Redfish Idaho

Our first day included unloading, exploring, and mowing the grass. The boys also enjoyed getting to know our neighbors the horses.

That night Grandma and Paka Conk and Great Granddad Jensen came and we enjoyed dinner and time by the fire listening to Paka play his harmonica.

Boise Idaho

After a long drive to Boise we took a short break and let the kids play at a small community water park. It was so nice to finally be out of the car and of coarse the boys love anything that involves water.

We are Back and We are Tan!!

Last Sunday we got back from our 10 day trip to Idaho. We had so much fun seeing family and spending lots of time in the sun (as you can see).

Look at those white butts, so cute:)

Belfair

We went camping at Belfair last weekend and besides the 90 degree weather on the first and second day we had fun.(Because of the weather we learned our AC works in our trailer!)
We had fun playing in creeks the hood canal, four wheeling, climbing trees, riding bikes, playing with friends, touching slugs(yuck), and eating good food. We have just been loving all of our camping trips this summer in our new camping trailer. It makes life so much easier:)

4th of July

On the Saturday before the 4th of July we went to the Rainier's baseball game with the Holman's(it has become a tradition). It was so fun! The weather was great, the game wasn't too long, and the fireworks were amazing! My favorite thing about their fireworks show is they put it to music. I always walk away so thankful to live in this great country.
