Bye Bye Binky

It has been over three weeks now since Colton has sucked on a Binky. We did not plan this event although I have been thinking about trying to ween him for some time now. We just finally lost our last Binky and I didn't want to go buy one that night so we tried it without and he did great. He probably asked for it half a dozen times the first week and cried two or three times but that was it. We even made it through our first ear infection with no Binky Id say we are done with the Binky.
Way to go Colton, you are getting to be such a big boy!

Spring Time With Family

My parents stopped by to pick Orin up and take him to the MTC. We were able to have lots of fun with them crammed into two days. One of my favorite things was to go to the temple with Dustin, Orin, and my Mom and Dad. It was amazing to be in that special place and know that we will be together forever (thanks Suzanne for watching my boys.)
We were also able to spend some time in the sun shine. When my parents left Alaska it was below zero so I am sure they really enjoyed it:)

Uncle Orin's Great Trip

Orin has continued to stay at our house for the last week after our fun camping trip. We spent our time getting last minute things for his mission, swimming, playing at the park, having a picnic at the Seattle Temple, and playing many games of hide and go seek (Camdin's favorite game right now.) We had so much fun and we are going to miss Orin so much while he is gone. He is truly an amazing Uncle that my boys just adore and look up to. I know he is doing what the Lord wants and that he will do an amazing job serving the people in Cape Verde (it is a group of islands off the west coast of Africa.)
We will miss you Uncle Orin!

The Dunes

My brother Orin is in town staying with us for a week before he leaves to go on is mission so we thought it would be the perfect time to try out our new camping trailer. So we packed everything up and headed to Florence Oregon for a long weekend of four wheeling at the dunes. We ended up with rain on our first two days but Saturday made up for it with some beautiful sun. It was so nice that Dustin talked me into staying an extra night:)
The Dunes were a new experience for us and the sand was not that easy with our 4x4 quads but we and lots of fun. Dustin is already planing our next trip down:)

Our set up. We got lots of stares on the highway.

Cuddling by the campfire.

At the beach.
Getting ready to go riding.

Great Neighbors!!

Last week I went outside while Dustin was talking to our neighbor and I was complaining that I had no idea what to make for dinner. We then decided that we were going to go out. Latter that night we a knock at the door it was our neighbor with a big plate of ribs and potato salad. How sweet is that? Needles to say he got a big plate of cookies the next day:)

Yum!
