Christmas

Christmas morning turned out just about perfect. The kids slept in and were thrilled that Santa had dropped off presents. For the next several nights Camdin has been asking if Santa can come again:) I stayed up the night before finishing Camdin and Colton's matching jammies, using my new Christmas present (thanks honey!). I think they turned out so cute. I am going to try and continue this tradition every year.
I asked Camdin his favorite present and he told me Batman. I think this is the toy he has played with the least:) Who knew it was his favorite?

Everyone enjoyed target practicing with the Nerf guns.

Santa left goggles in their stockings. As you can see they love them.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we drove up to Leavenworth. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive. But it was beautiful. They had lots of snow so we went on a sleigh ride in a field, went past a stream, saw some animals and sang Christmas carols. After we had our hot coco and cookies we went into town and looked at the beautiful lights, went window shopping, and ate dinner. If I go to Leavenworth again I will definitely try and stay the night because it is a long drive and there is lots to see.

Getting Ready For Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. Dustin's mom dad and sister came to visit and we were able to do fun Christmas activates with them. Their fist night we all decorated our Christmas tree (It had been up for a week with lights but no decorations, I actually kind of liked it because Colton couldn't take decorations off). We then made sugar cookies. I love sugar cookies but boy do they have allot of steps and are very messy to create:)
I learned sugar cookies+Aunt Megan=Messy Boys:)

Sledding

My Uncle invited everyone up to his house for a sledding/snow machining/early Christmas party. We were lucky during our trip because it stayed pretty warm. On our sledding day it was -5 below(which is very mild for this time of year in Fairbanks). So my boys were bundled from head to toe but only lasted going down the hill twice. It was a great day that ended with Colton puking all over me and then taking a 3 1/2 hour plane ride home that night. Don't you just love kids! The Stomach Flu Stinks!

We went sledding down the hill and the snow machine took us back up. It was so nice:) Isn't that view beautiful!

Unexpected Trip to Alaska

My Poppy died unexpectedly this month so our family took a quick trip to Alaska. Dustin flew up there with the boys and I but had to leave early. In total we stayed a week and a half. It was so nice to be home. It was a hard trip but we were able to enjoy our time with family.
Our first trip outside all bundled up. By the end of the trip the boys hated putting on their boots hats gloves and snow pants.

Both of my boys warmed right up to their great Grandma.

We stopped in North Pole to visit the real Santa Clause.

Camdin said he wanted a T-Rex Mountain. Anyone know what that is??

Funny Faces

We were just sitting at the gas station getting gas and making funny faces. Great Night!

Thanksgiving Dinner

This year was my first year to be cooking solo for Thanksgiving. I was very nervous and worried about all of the work. On the big day I ended up having so much fun. I made myself and checklist and went at it. Dustin's job for the day was taking care of the kids and dishes. He ended up doing the dishes 3 times that day.(Thanks Honey!) Everything turned out so good and went very smoothly. As we sat down at the table to eat we went around the table and told what we were thankful for. After Dusitn and I were done Camdin went and he said the cutest things.

1. Water
2. Hot Water
3. Warm Water
4. Uncle Orin
5. Jesus
and then he named all of his friends from nursery and all of his other cousins aunt uncles and grandparents. It was very sweet.
