Fire Pit

We have had a busy weekend of yard work. The weather has been great and we had been having so much fun outside. Our garden is growing, our new swingset is almost finished, and we have a fire pit! So of course we had to test it out with somores.

Yes, that is marshmallow on Colton's nose.

Bear Lake

For Memorial day weekend we drove to Bear Lake to visit family and play. We had a great time although the weather did not cooperate (it rained on and off the whole time). My mom flew down to Seattle and drove with us to Bear Lake, and surprised my sister and brothers. She was a huge help not only with the drive but watching kids, cooking meals and cleaning up after six wild and crazy kids. Thanks mom I don't know how we would have done it without you. Because of the weather we never made it down to the beach:( We did go one lots of four wheeler rides, play games, take kids to the park, eat lots of good food, and have a great break. It was so nice to see family again. Oh and a huge thank you to Dustin's parents for letting us all use their cabin it worked out great (who needs hot water anyway:) Right before we left for our 15 hour drive (that includes stops). The kids actually did really good.

Here We Go Again

Tomorrow Colton is getting different tubes put in. He has been having horrible screaming fits at night again. My poor baby has been in so much pain. We are praying these new tubes will be the answer. The Doctor says they are bigger and have a history of staying in better. So here we go again, tomorrow bright and early Colton is being put under again. I am scared sad and very hopeful that it will finally bring Colton some relief. Please keep Colton in your prayers.
A quick update.
I just wanted to let everyone know that Colton is home safe and sleeping soundly. He was screaming after surgery and out to the truck but on the way out he stopped when he heard a loud lawn mower. I think that is because it was louder then before the tubes. Good sign, right??

Colton's Party

Colton's party was so much fun. After the fire station we invited several friends over to a park for a small barbecue. The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast playing outside all evening. We ended up not leaving until nearly 8 p.m. Thanks to all of are friends for making Colton's Birthday extra special. He had a blast:)

Fire Truck Birthday!!

The Birthday Boy!!

Both of my boys love fire trucks, so I thought that would be a fun theme for Colton's party. It turned out really cute and fun. I called down to our local Milton fire station to see if a fire truck could stop by our house or if we could come take a look. They said we could come take a tour of the fire station!! The kids got to look around the station each got there own fire helmet and climbed every where possible on the fire truck. The fire men were great with the kids and answered all of their questions. They said that they love doing tours and jump at any opportunity. I am not sure if that is because we live in a small town and they don't get to to them very often or they were just being nice. Either way it was really fun!! Thanks Fire Fighters!!

These are all of the kids that were able to make it.

Camdin did not want to get out of the fire truck. He was in heaven:)

The Garden Is In

So we finished planting our very first garden last night for FHE. I really hope we get some veggies, because it was allot of work:) Dustin got really excited when we were buying seeds and went a little nuts. We had more seeds then would fit so I guess we are having a 2# garden up by the house with watermelons (yeah I know it was Dustin's idea), pumpkins, green peppers, and strawberries. I am sure there will be many more posts about our little garden this summer because I am sure everyone is dying to know how it is going:)My cute little helpers (Colton wanted to taste our harvest before it was ready)

Our latest purchase was a rototiller. I don't think we would be even close to finishing without it.

Happy Mothers Day Mom!!

Happy Mothers Day Mom!! You are an insiration to me everyday. The way you have always been there for your all of your kids and how strong and caring you are. I know that even though thousands of miles seperate us you are just a phone call away. Through our phone calls you have a way of helping me with my problems and can be a listening ear when I need one. I know I could never be the mom I am today without your continued support. Thank You Mom, I miss you!!
