The Truck!!

Some of you may have heard that Dustin has been looking for "the truck" for awhile now. We have been looking for almost 5 months. Just about every night Dustin would search the Internet for "the truck", and has been on dozens of test drives. It had to be a Chevy Silverado duramax diesel with an Allison transmission with low miles and leather seats and of course in our budget. And we finally found it. It has all kinds of fun gadgets and of course is huge. We traded in my jeep for the truck so now I get to load my boys in it everyday. I am so happy Dustin found the truck and in his words "he can now die a happy man." Our next purchase will be running boards so I can climb into it with out having to bounce (all you short people know what I'm talking about).

Another Ear Infection!!

Yes it is true with tubes Colton has managed to get yet another ear infection. I was so disappointed when the Doctor told me. This was supposed to be fixed. But that is not all my poor little boy is fighting with right now he wok up with conjunctivitis in one eye and has a runny nose. So he has puss coming from both ears, goop in his eye, and a runny nose it is not his cutest hour. And of course our Ear nose and throat doctor decides to take a 2 week vacation. My poor baby. Colton is on eye drops, ear drops, and an oral antibiotic so hopefully he will be better soon.

Questions Questions

Camdin is in the stage when he is asking questions all day long. At first I was loving how curious he was. Now I am getting sick of answering the same questions over and over again, even though he knows the answer he continues to ask the question. His favorite questions are 1. What are you doing? 2. Where are we going? 3. What is that noise? 4.Where is the baby?(even though Colton is right in front of him). I am really trying not to stop answering him but I seriously hear these plus more questions 50 times a day. Dustin has gotten really good at just tuning him out. I am hoping this is just a stage and he will be answer his own questions soon:)

A Fun Friday

Today Dustin did not have to work. Yeah!! We took advantage and got a lot accomplished and had tons of fun. Our half bathroom that we are remodeling is fully functioning (only finishing touches to go. I will post pics when it is completely finished. Then we went out and bought some bicycles. We have been meaning to get some for awhile now and we finally found a deal we could not pass up. We then took a short ride to the park. It was actually quite hard with all of the hills we have around our house. All in all it was one of those days that makes all of the really hard ones worth it.

The Tubes Are In

I am so happy to post that Colton's tubes are in and he is doing great!!! The doctor put him to sleep and he was awake screaming in a little over 30 min. The procedure went great. The doctor was able to drain lots of cloudy fluid from both ears that was making him in so much pain at night. Colton was pretty disoriented after waking up but after eating and sleeping for several hours I feel he is better then ever. I am so relieved that it is finally over. Colton was the perfect little patient I think every nurse in the surgery unit came by and said hi and played peek-a-boo with him and made him smile and laugh. Virgina Maison's nurses and doctors were terrific they made things go so smoothly and made the whole thing as painless as possible.
Thank you to everyone that helped me through the last couple weeks. All of my friends and family have been so great to listen as I talked over and over about my problems and concerns. I would also like to thank everyone for including us in your prayers. We would have never made it though without you.

Colton is just happy as can be in his hospital gown before surgery.
