Fun in the Tub & A Messy Face

Colton loves those baby biscuits. We don't give them to him too often because the result is always a bath. He is the cutest messiest baby ever!!
Now that Colton can safely sit up by himself in the tub the boys have been having tons of fun playing together in there. They both splash and scream and actually get along quite well. I hope there special bond continues to grow:)

Our Conk Family Christmas

This year we spent Christmas here in Washington as our own little family. It was really nice yet I kept having the feeling that something was missing. The boys had tons of fun opening up and playing with all of there cool toys from Santa and family. Camdin and Colton both got trains for Christmas from Santa. One of Camdins favorite gifts came out of his stocking. A Wallie electric tooth brush. He wants to brush his teeth like 10 times a day!! Thanks Santa:)

More Snow

The Seattle area continues to get more snow. We continue to have fun in it but it does put a damper on traveling and other activities. Church was canceled again today and Snoqualmi pass been closed on and off. Other than that we have had lots of fun in our winter wonderland:)

Our snow man turned out so cute! (Thanks Grandma Conk for the snowman kit.)

Warming up after with hot chocolate in front of the fire.

Five Years

Five years ago today Dustin and I began our journey together. We were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 19th 2003 for time and all eternity. In the past five years we have had many milestones. Two of those being the births of our sons. I am so happy we found each other and that I have Dustin to enjoy my life with.
I love you Honey, and happy anniversary!!

Cristmas Fun!!

Last weekend was filled with lots of fun Christmas activities. We had our ward Christmas party. Did some shopping (I know I am horrible I am still not done.) And we did the activity that always makes me feel like it is Christmas, making sugar cookies:) It also snowed on Sunday so church was canceled. I was scheduled to speak so it was kind of nice. It is kind of funny that the stake down here cancels for an inch of snow and in Alaska they don't even cancel at -40. I guess Alaskans are tougher.

Our ward Christmas party. Neither of the boys liked Santa too much:(

We went out and played in our 1 inch of snow. Camdin and Colton lasted all of 5 min.

Christmas tree hunt

Last weekend we wanted to start the fun tradition of cutting down our own Christmas tree. We headed into the woods with our tree cutting permit in a small KIA rental car. We drove up the side of a mountain to get the area where you can cut. As we neared the area of course it starts to snow. We stopped at the nearest place and began to search. The paper said "Nobel Firs," So I had a picture of a store bought noble fir in my head and these were not them. They reminded me allot of Alaskan trees the grow on permafrost. Small and sparse branches. We ended up searching for a while but the kids got cold and were not happy. So we gave up and cut down a small little tree we decided to put up in Camdin's room. Then it was Home Depot here we come for the perfect tree I had a vision of in my head.

So a funny story about Camdin. When he is walking and falls down he jumps up and tells me "I'm O'tay mommy, I'm O'tay." So when we were searching for our tree in the cold snow, he was getting wet and he looked up at me and said, "I'm not O'tay mommy, I'm NOT O'tay." It was the funniest moment of that day!!

Warming up in the car after.

Santa and Fire Trucks

So living in Milton Washington has its perks. It is a small town so it is able to have many small town events for different holidays. Well for Christmas they send Santa around with fire trucks and a whole group of elf's to all the neighbor hoods in Milton. He came down ours and of course Camdin thought it was the coolest thing ever. Santa jumped out and ran around to all the kids passing out candy canes. We are going to mark are calenders for this event next year for sure!!

Family Pictures

So I wrote awhile ago about the boys getting hair cuts for family pictures. Well here they are. I thought they turned out terrific. My boys are so cute. Looking at these pictures it makes me remember how blessed I really am to have a loving supportive husband and two healthy children.

Temple Lights

Last Friday we were able to be at temple square for the turning on of the Christmas lights. It was beautiful!! Salt Lake was the temple Dustin and I were sealed in, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. It was a little cold but so worth it. Camdin had fun running around and seeing all of the amazing colors. Colton unfortunately didn't see a thing he slept though it. It was so nice to be there with family and enjoy the start of the Christmas season.

They put the nativity on the reflecting pond this year. It was so pretty.

Camdin and I bundled up nice and warm.

All of us! Minus the kids.(don't worry a friend was watching them)

Turkey Day

As I said we spent Thanksgiving with Dustin's Family. It was a great time. All of his brothers and sister were able to make it. It was so nice to spend some time together. I would also like to thank Cynthia (Dustin's mom) for taking such great care of us while we were there. The kids also had a blast playing with their cousins.

Almost everyone at the table.

All of the boy cousins. (Baby Brooklyn was sleeping)

The kids table. I think they sat there for all of two minutes:)

14 Hour Drive

It took us 14 hours to get to Wyoming. We chose to drive at night so the kids could sleep. Our plan worked great. Colton and Camdin did terrific, they slept when ever the car was moving. When ever we stopped they wanted to get out and of course being the pushover mom that I am I usually let them both get out. The hard part was getting them back in to their car seats. These pics were taken somewhere in Idaho at some gas station parking lot at 11:30pm. We ended up staying there for over 30min just letting the kids play.
