Jeep VS Deer

We made it home! Everyone made it home in one piece except for the Jeep. In the last 2 hours of our drive two deer decided to end their lives using our Jeep. Dustin was driving luckily and hit two deer almost head on. Camdin and Colton didn't even wake up until the State Troopers showed up. We ended up sitting on the side of the road for an hour waiting and filing a police report but we all made it home safe and sound and have spent the day recuperating from the long drive.

My poor Jeep. The deer didn't stand a chance.

Six Month Check up

So last week I took Colton in for his six month check up. Colton is in good health right on track for development and was oh so tough when he had to get four shots in his legs. That is always the hardest part for me. Having to help the nurse hold my child down while they stick him with a sharp long needle. I believe the saying is true for me that it is harder on me then it is on the baby. Colton also got measured and weighed to see how he compares to other babies his age. Lets just say neither of my boys are going to be famous basket ball players. I thought it would be fun to compare my two boys at their six month check up. So Colton weighed in at 15 lbs and 15 oz and Camdin was 17lb and 2oz. So according to the rest of the babies in the nation Colton is in the 10th percentile and Camdin was is the 25th percentile for weight. For length Colton was 24 3/4 in and Camdin was 25 1/2 in long. Compared to everyone else Colton is in the 3rd percentile and Camdin was in the 10th. But good news their heads and both in the 75 percent. So I guess that means we are going to have smart short healthy boys!!

Hair Cuts

We are finally getting around to getting family pictures taken and you know what that means.....Hair Cuts!! Yeah!!! Neither of the boys were too excited about it. As you can see from the pictures this was Coltons first hair cut. I have been putting it off for a while now. Dustin is the boys barber and I think they both look very handsome. You will have to tell him how he did.Colton Before

Coltons New Tricks

Colton turns six months old tomorrow! Boy did that go by fast. My baby is getting so big and is staring to do so many more things. Last week he started mastering sitting up on his own. He is also coming pretty close to crawling. He can hold up his own weight and can scoot around pretty fast. Colton will have his six months check up so I will post latter how big he is.

Disapointing Weekend

We had a huge rain storm come through Seattle last weekend so of course being new homeowners our roof started to leak. That was so disappointing to have something else to fix on Dustin's ever growing to do list. The roof gets top priority, so I am afraid I will never get a finished bathroom or new counter tops in the kitchen. :( Oh well, my amazing husband did a terrific job doing a temporary fix until next spring when we get to redo the whole thing.

The Conk family had a very happy Halloween. Halloween is so much more fun with kids to dress up. This year I made the boys matching pumpkin costumes. I must say I have the two cutest pumpkins ever. This year Dustin and I took the boys trick er treating, to a Halloween carnival and then Dustin took Camdin trick er treating some more. It was so much fun.
